Glossy skin still tops our wishlist, but so does this grown-up metallic make-up…
Think of Tom Ford make-up and next-to-natural, expensive-looking skin springs to mind. Not a palette of rainbow brights that at first glance looks better suited to a unicorn make-up trend. Ever the fashion disrupter, it seems that by teaming up with cult London-come-New York make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, who has worked with some of fashion’s most high-profile photographers and designers, Tom Ford is at last pushing boundaries and bringing experimentation to his make-up line, too.
We’re calling it: the Extreme Collection will have every make-up enthusiast worth their salt Instagramming the hell out of these products. And with good reason, too. From sapphire to pink and the sunniest lemon shade this side of Capri, the 20 eye shadow singles (£29 each) come in two distinct finishes: foils for a bold, molten finish and the most finely milled, light-reflective glitters for daytime lustre. Designed to be longwearing courtesy of dense pigments and a water-resistant formula, the real beauty of this collection is that it can be worn as a subtle sliver of colour across your lids (our favourite is a wash of shimmering rose gold against slightly tanned skin) or built up for a more daring statement look.
Still not edgy enough for you? Try the Lash and Brow Tint (£36 each). Available in four vibrant shades – think electric blue, turquoise, copper and bright aubergine – it gives even the spindliest brows a wash of bright colour and a gilded finish.
Simply mix and match to your heart’s content – the wash-off formula is pretty perfect, too, if your boss doesn’t want you to commit to permanent pop art brows.
